A state of being in Minecraft Diaries. Free from old age or disease, only thing that may kill an immortal are fatal injuries. People such as the Yggdrasil elves have immortality, and Shadow Knights may obtain it as well, and the Demon Warlock is also immortal through unknown means- possibly just from being a demon by default.
Immortality can be traded to complete rituals or spells. For example, Malachi as an immortal ghost was caught in an explosion he made using an Yggdrasil sapling in a potion, causing him to become a mortal child again. Zoey also gave up her immortality to complete a ritual to cross realms.
Immortality can be gained through a few different means. One example would be dying then being resurrected as a Shadow Knight at the Shadow Lord's will, and then slaying a loved one/your lord, or slaying an indiscriminately large number of people.

- Demon Warlock (evil essence, always resurrects eventually)
- Gene (Shadow Knight, through slaying his Lord of Boboros)
- Sasha (Shadow Knight, through slaying her Lord Joh)
- Vincent (Shadow Knight, through slaying his brother/lord)
- Vylad (Shadow Knight, through unknown means)
- Zenix (Shadow Knight, likely through slaughtering numerous villagers)
- Any other Shadow Knight that has killed someone close to them or gained immortality through other known methods.
- Zoey (formally; gave up immortality at the end of season 1 to traverse Irene's dimension)
